We work for the betterment of society by helping elderly, disabled, orphans get a place to stay, have healthy food to eat, along with an empowered environment for women to make their lives better.

Jeevakkal Social Welfare Youth Society started as a youth club in 1995 in Thiruthangal region, for the purpose of organizing unemployed youth, and leading them in the right direction. In 1996, Jeevakkal Social Welfare Youth Society was registered as an NGO under Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975. It is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1976 with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi. Rani, a Siddha practitioner was instrumental behind the emergence JSWYS.  She is a social activist and had passion to render her services for the less privileged, under privileged, oppressed, women, children, youth and disabled.
